NBA: Wow Check Out How Much Money Billy Hunter Made During the Lockout

USA Today discovered a department of labor filing with regards to Billy Hunter’s salary with the NBPA last year, much of which was spent during the lockout of the NBPA by the owners in the labor dispute. Mr. Hunter did quite well for himself.  Check it out after the jump. Shay Marie x Sabrina B.


NBA: Hunter Releases Memo to Players Says They Get 51.2% of the BRI & More

NBA: Yikes Stephon Marbury Goes In on Michael Jordan, Calls Him a Sellout!

Michael Jordan isn’t exactly a favorite amongst the players anymore.  As an owner of a small market team, the Charlotte Bobcats, Jordan is one of the owners demanding a paycut for players.  Jordan even went as low as saying the players should only get 37% of the BRI (Basketball Related Income), the players received 57% last season so thats a 20% cut.  Jordan also wanted to cut the length of contracts and a hard salary cap.  Since then he’s eased up a bit but he is still a leader in a faction of owners that want the players to get no more than 47% of the BRI.  Some players have lashed out against him including Nick Young and now former NBA player Stephon Marbury.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl


NBA: Union Rejects Latest Offer, Stern Gives Wednesday Ultimatum

Commissioner David Stern gave NBA players an offer and a deadline: Accept a chance to earn up to 51 percent of basketball-related income by Wednesday or get ready for a deal that’s a whole lot worse.  He wouldn’t call it an ultimatum, but it didn’t sure sit well with the union.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl


NBA: Kobe Bryant & Derek Fisher in Favor of 50/50 BRI Split?

There were earlier reports that a potential agreement was sabotaged by Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.  Now there’s reports that Bryant and Fisher are in favor of the 50-50 split while others like Pierce and Garnett are still not.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
