(Video) Lil Wayne’s Manager Says Birdman Put A Stop To Them Releasing ‘Tha Carter V’ For Free

Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne’s manager got a chance to stop by ‘Rap Radar’ where he spoke on Wayne’s issues with Cash Money. Bryant reveals that ‘Tha Carter V’ was actually suppose to drop on Google for free but Birdman was the reason that that did not happen.

Jas Prince Sues Cash Money For $11 Million Over Drake

Jas Prince has been at odds with Cash Money for some time now, after he reportedly never received the royalties he’s due for bringing Drake to them. At this point, it seems the only way you get your money from Birdman and co. is by suing, so I guess Jas is on the right path! The Rap-A-Lot Records heir says in the lawsuit that Cash Money was to pay him 22% of all of Drake’s royalties, net profits and other advances – which now totals up to $11 million. The tricky part is – Drake was signed to Jas’ Aspire Music Group, and Jas says Wayne and Drake’s manager, Cortez Bryant, breached the original agreement by shuffling Drizzy over to Young Money from Cash Money. Unfortunately, due to Jas’ role with Aspire (I’m unsure of what that role is,) he can’t legally sue Cash Money, so now he’s asking the court to appoint a receiver to do so on his behalf. For their part, Cash Money denies they owe Jas 22% of anything. Wonder if he’ll get his coins!

Lil Wayne’s Manager Cortez Bryant Goes In On The Delay ‘Tha Carter V’ & His Friend’s Ill Treatment

…and he speaks… Lil Wayne’s longtime friend and manager, Cortez Bryant has spoken out in support of the rapper’s ill feelings about Tha Carter V being withheld from release. Tensions between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records – Birdman – continue to flare, with rumors of Wayne making moves to No Limit and him going full-force with the second installment of Sorry for the Wait. Having began many o’ careers and remaining loyal to the paths that he’s crossed, Lil Wayne has a strong following, including Bryant. The manager goes on an extensive venting session about what Lil Wayne has done for Nicki Minaj, Drake, Cash Money as an entity and more. Check it out down bottom.

(Video) According To His Manager, Everything Between Lil Wayne & Cash Money Is A-Okay!

Yesterday [Thurs., Dec. 4], Lil Wayne took his feelings to Twitter to go OFF on Baby and Cash Money as a whole. According to Weezy, he and his creativity are both prisoners of the label. The delay in ‘Tha Carter V’ has lasted longer than expected, and well, he’s clearly over it. Moving on, if you can remember in Yo Gotti’s “Errbody” remix Lil Wayne claims, “I ain’t got Instagram,” but he may be taking his latest stunt to the ‘Gram. The “Only” emcee posts a photo of himself with the caption, “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.” This being similar to what was tweeted. Now, after being seen leaving the Penthouse, Tunechi’s manager Cortez Bryant told TMZ that everything is pretty much two-thumbs up. Wayne is, “good,” he says. Why are we suppose to believe Cortez? “I wouldn’t be in the club. Don’t you see me smiling,” he says. I’ll take that to mean, when Cortez is caught with an upside down frown or if he doesn’t make frequent visits to parties, Lil Wayne and Cash Money have fallen off. Only time – or Mack Maine’s Twitter account – will tell what’s going on with the YMCMB crew. Check out the jump for more.

Lil Wayne’s Manager Claims That Jas Prince Chased Him With A Gun…Because Of Drake?!

Christina Milian’s former fiancé is really making an attempt to run down on folk for extra cash. I mean, extra green is always a good thing, but when you have to use a deadly weapon to obtain it, it’s probably not for you. Earlier this year, Jas filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Cash Money and Lil Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant. The producer is claiming that he discovered Drake and then signed him to his label Aspire Music Group, however Cash Money approached him willing to pay 22% of Drake’s advances if the rapper were to switch teams. Now, another deposition document is stating that Mr. Jas is a gun-toting bad guy looking to gain additional funds. Damn boy, Drake is making ends. You mean to tell me that your 22% ain’t paying the rent? Hit the jump for more details.
