A man is suing the California lottery after he claims that he bought a $63 million winning ticket and was told the ticket was “too damaged” and not eligible for the jackpot. Brandy Milliner of Los Angeles claims he purchased the ticket at a 7-Eleven in Chatsworth, California, back in August 2015, which matched the six winning numbers. He claims, upon bringing the ticket to lottery officials he was given a congratulatory note and a photocopy of his ticket. However six months later, Milliner received another yet from lottery officials retracting his win, saying his ticket was “too damaged.” More below.
