(Video) NBA: Damian Lillard Discusses Finally Making the 2015 All-Star Team

Damian Lillard felt extremely slighted when he wasn’t chosen for the 2015 NBA All-Star game and he let his feelings known in long Instagram post.  With Kobe Bryant’s season-ending injury commissioner Adam Silver had to choose his replacement.  Silver felt the choice between DeMarcus Cousins and Lillard was too difficult for him so he let the coaches choose and they chose Cousins.  Lillard was left out in the cold once again.  Luckily for him but unluckily for Blake Griffin, the Los Angeles Clippers star had to have surgery on his elbow to remove an infection.  The choice to go with Lillard for his replacement was an easy one.  Now Lillard shares his feelings on finally making the team.

NBA: Report, Damian Lillard Will Replace Blake Griffin For The West In The All Star Game

Damian Lillard is finally an all star for 2015! He might still be mad at the way he had to get there, but regardless he is now officially an all star for the second time. An unexpected surgery for Clippers Blake Griffin meant he would miss the All Star game himself, which meant one open roster spot for the west. It was a no brainer for commissioner Silver to pick Lillard to replace Blake as he should of been an all star to begin with. Lillard actually turned down an invite prior to today to come participate in the skills challenge, which he won last year. Should be funny to see if Lillard tries to get back into the event since he might be feeling happier now. Congrats to the homie Lillard. It is well deserved.

NBA: Adam Silver Wants to Expand All-Star Rosters After Damian Lillard is Left Off

Every year the NBA All-Stars are announced and every year there’s a huge debate about who was snubbed.  This year was no different especially with so many amazing players in the Western Conference.  Initially both Damian Lillard and DeMarcus Cousins were left off the roster but with Kobe Bryant’s season-ending injury, commissioner Adam Silver was forced to choose between the two.  The decision was so difficult it influenced Silver to want to expand All-Star rosters.

By now you know Damian Lillard was not selected to be part of the NBA All Star game in NYC on Valentine’s weekend. He was also passed up by Commissioner Silver for the injury replacement for Kobe Bryant. That spot went to DeMarcus Cousins. Lillard as you might expect is very upset and his emotions seems to be between anger and sadness. There is no shame being left off the Western All Star squad because it is a loaded team. Everyone who knows the NBA knows Lillard is easily an All Star talent, it just came down to roster spots. He is basically putting the league on notice that he is going to be on beast mode for the second half.

This is what happens in smaller markets where the people feel a closer bond to the players.
