During Kanye West’s recent appearance on BBC’s Later with Jools Holland show, the rap superstar had some demands that would make even Mariah Carey blush. Among the things he asked for: the staff to iron his dressing room carpet before he recorded his spot on the show, “white flowers, white curtains, white everything” for the room’s decor and that the studio “be pulled down and re-built to his requirements.” “Everybody knew Kanye’s reputation for being a handful, but nobody had heard of a request for a carpet to be ironed before,” a source on set said. “His entourage took over the studio, even though plenty of other stars were present. Luckily once he got to the performance he was very quiet and unassuming.” Can’t say that I’m surprised!
