Boxing: Bob Arum Claims That UFC Wants 50% Of Conor McGregor’s Purse If He Fights Floyd Mayweather

image via: youtube Legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum doesn’t really care to see Floyd Mayweather fight Conor McGregor but according to him, if it never happens, the only people to blame will be the UFC. That’s because according to Arum, the reason negotiations have been moving so slow are because they want to take 50% of whatever Conor would get from the fight and obviously that’s not something that would sit well with the fighter.

He was on hand to walk fellow Irishman, Michael Conlan, who was a star at the Olympics last year, down to the ring. Before the fight, McGregor walked around ringside saying hello to writers he knew but when he got to Dan Rafael of ESPN, he didn’t seem to know who he was. Conor said hello anyway but Rafael jokingly shouted that he didn’t know him because he didn’t cover MMA. “I’m the boxing guy” Rafael said. Those words stuck with Conor the rest of the night.

He told a crowd in England during his tour over there that he is officially coming out of retirement to fight Conor, which is something he didn’t confirm in the past. He seems to be pretty set on making the fight happen and is getting fed up with Conor and all the extra nonsense that involves everything but the actual fight.
