Auto:(Video) Dont Blink!..The Fastest Production Car..Ever?

If you blink, you might miss this ride fly past you. The Hennessey Venom GT now claims to hold the record for the fastest production car ever when it hit 265.7 MPH on a 2 mile test track. The name of the car itself is the Venom GT. Hennessey in this case is not a cognac, but a company that “enhances” cars for lack of a better word. Now it is hard to call this car a production car since only 7 have been made, but that appears to be getting ready to change as well. The Bugatti Veyron which tops out at 258MPH is the closest competition for the Venom. But in the car world, anytime you can lay claim to being the best or fastest is a very good thing. The Venom GT gets its thrust from a twin-turbo 7.0-liter V8 engine good for 1,244 horsepower and 1,155 pound-feet of torque. In other words like I said earlier, dont blink! Check the video out after the jump.
