NBA: LeBron James Backtracks, Says If He Was Talking About Kevin Love He’d Say It To His Face

When in doubt, blame the media. Earlier today I posted a story confirming that LeBron James’ cryptic tweet about fitting in was indeed about teammate Kevin Love.  Well today James took to his Twitter account basically saying the media made up the story and if he wanted to say something to a teammate, he would say it to their face.

NBA: LeBron James Admits His Tweet Was Sending Shots at Kevin Love, Love Responds

After a rough skid, the Cleveland Cavaliers bounced back winning 13 out of their past 14 games but all is not well in “The Land”.  On Saturday, the day after the Pacers won 103-99 and snapped the Cavaliers 12-game winning streak, LeBron James sent out a tweet saying stop trying to “fit-out” and “fit-in”.  It didn’t take long for people to realize he was talking about teammate Kevin Love, who scored just five-points in the game and used the term “fit-out” during the preseason.

NBA: LeBron James Says He Gets Kevin Love Good Looks & He Needs More Confidence in His Shot

NBA: Cavs Coach David Blatt: “Kevin Love is not a Max Player Yet”

The Cleveland Cavaliers, playing without injured star LeBron James, lost its fifth straight game on Sunday, a 103-84 rout at the hands of the Sacramento Kings.  After the game, head coach David Blatt got testy with a reporter when asked why the team is struggling despite having two players in the lineup that make the NBA’s maximum salary, guard Kyrie Irving and forward Kevin Love.

NBA Report: Kevin Love Not Expected to Re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers

The future seemed bright for the Cleveland Cavaliers when LeBron James returned home and they then traded for Kevin Love but so far things haven’t turned out as well as they expected.  The Cavaliers continue to fall in the rankings losing eight of their last ten games including a current five-game losing streak.  King James has been sidelined with knee and back issues.  Love knew he wouldn’t get as many touches as he did in Minnesota but he often finds himself on the outside looking in as his point guard, Kyrie Irving takes many of the possessions.  The Cavaliers gave up their youth (Andrew Wiggins) to get Love and basically had one-year to convince him to stay.  Well clearly this year isn’t going well and Kevin Love not expected to re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers..
