Melo got into some exchanges with fans on Instagram yesterday where he actually seemed to praise the pick of Kristaps Porzingis, calling him a “steal”. Things didn’t stay cool for long though because then Melo was going back and forth with fans trying to come at him.

As the draft steadily approaches there’s always a player or two who comes out of nowhere and rises steadily on the draft board. That player this year is Kristaps Porzingis. He is the guy shaking up the top of the draft board — he’s got a lot of fans in NBA front offices. They see a guy already more than seven feet tall and incredibly long, who has shooting range out to the NBA three-point line, and who is a fluid athlete. The draft prospects did interviews today and Porzingis said something that had a lot of people scratching their heads.
