Late in the fourth quarter of the Miami Heat’s loss to the Indiana Pacers, Dwyane Wade committed a turnover and was trying to get back on defense. He ran back and leaped in the air throwing a flying elbow to the temple of Lance Stephenson. Lance fell to the floor and looked visibly hurt and rattled. Nothing was called at the time against Wade but the league went back and reviewed it releasing their findings today. Read more after the jump.

Lance Stephenson is a New York legend. He holds the NYC high school record for the most points over a high school career from when he was at Lincoln High in Brooklyn. Even before he was in the NBA as a member of the Pacers, he had played quite a few important games on the MSG court. Last night during the playoff game with the Knicks, Tyson Chandler reminded him that MSG is no longer a friendly place for Stephenson. Lance attempted to dunk on Chandler and paid the price. But in reality this is how you should foul someone during the playoffs if your trying to send a message. Check it after the jump if you didn’t see it last night.

Sabrina B. Entering Game 3, Indiana reserve guard Lance Stephenson had not played a single minute in the NBA playoff series between his Pacers and the Miami Heat. Despite having a terrific seat, he had been just another spectator. After LeBron James missed a technical free throw late in the third quarter as the Heat tried to keep up with the Pacers, Stephenson went right ahead and acted like so many spectators do. He mocked LBJ.
