A young basketball star named Ebony Nettles-Bey fighting stage four Rhabdomyosarcoma, had just one wish, to meet NBA superstar Lebron James. Her friends started a hashtag on Twitter #LeBronMeetEbony and it picked up steam quickly. Soon thousands of people sent out tweets to James and numerous news publications picked up the story including sports titan ESPN. Thanks to everyone’s help the message was sent loud and clear to Lebron and last night her wish was finally granted.
NBA: Lebron Says He Wishes the NBA Didn’t Have a Salary Cap After Miguel Cabrera’s Huge Deal
With no salary cap it appears MLB contracts just keep getting bigger and bigger. On Friday Miguel Cabrera signed a contract extension with the Detroit Tigers that would guarantee him $292 million over the next 10 years. That totally eclipses what Lebron James is making and as the best player in the league it’s only right he would wish the NBA didn’t have a salary cap as well. It would be interesting to see what his contract would look like.
