Ann Curry has been banned from appearing live on NBC! According to reports she is only allowed to tape interviews that air on the channel. She was fired from the Today Show last year and has been trying to get live interviews on NBC since, but is just not allowed to by the bosses at NBC. She can’t be part of another network until she is officially cut off and ends her contract with the current channel. So it sounds like she has no choice then to remain at NBC unhappily until she is let off and possibly arrives at another network.
NBC Chairman Says Steve Carell’s Return To ‘The Office’ Probably Won’t Happen!!
Looks like Steve Carrell won’t be returning to the hit NBC show ‘The Office’ even though several Office castmembers have mentioned to us that schedules were being worked out to bring Steve Carell back before the show goes off the air for good. “I’m hopeful, but I don’t think he will be back,” NBC Chairman, Robert Greenblatt, said during NBC’s Sunday presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour. “He left in the way that he wanted that character to leave.” Read more below. George Zimmerman Sues NBC For Slanderous Video
George Zimmerman, who came to national scrutiny when he killed Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012. The video of his voice call with the police department had been cut and choppped to paint Mr. Zimmerman in a negative light, making him look like a racist to the public by splicing his words in sound bites. Mr. Zimmerman filed a law suit against NBC for the video that made it seem like Zimmerman offered information about Trayvon’s race that was ultimately only said after he we was being asked a series of questions.
