MLB: More Breaking News, Yankees Curtis Granderson Leaves The Bronx For Queens!!

The Exodus from the Bronx continues for some of the Yankees best players. Robinson Cano just signed with the Mariners for 10 years/$240 million and now Curtis Granderson has signed with the New York Mets for 4 years/$60 million! Granderson didn’t have a great year this past season because he was hampered with injuries, but before that he was playing an a all-star level for the bombers. Luckily for him he probably won’t have to move from wherever he lives since it is still NYC, but like Cano, whenever he shows his face at Yankee stadium in a visitors jersey he will be booed to no end. If he can stay healthy this should be a pretty decent move for the Mets.

MLB: Breaking News, Robinson Cano Signs 10 year/$240 Million Dollar Deal With The Mariners!!

So long New York! Robinson Cano better get used to crappy weather, but I am sure $240 million dollars in the bank will make those rainy Seattle days fun. Reports are saying Cano has agreed to a 10 year/$240 million dollar deal with the Mariners. This comes not long after the Mariners President stormed out of a meeting with Cano and Jay Z, after they asked for more money at the last minute. The original offer was expected to be around 9 years/$225 million, but when they showed up, Jay Z asked for 10 years/$252 million! The Mariners walked out of the meeting extremely angry with Jay. But obviously after thinking about what Cano can bring to their team, they met in the middle and settled on $240 million. This contract is a big risk for the Mariners because of how long it is for with Cano’s current age. Congrats to him on the new deal, but there is no guarantee he will be happy in Seattle for the long term.

MLB: Yankees Re-Sign Derek Jeter For One Year

It is official. As of opening day next season, Derek Jeter will be the longest tenured player in the history of this great organization. This new contract for 1 year/$12 million replaces a player option Jeter had, that he could of walked away from if he wanted. This deal will make sure he spends a 20th season with the team and hopefully make one more run at a final championship. He was hurt for most of this past season, so this contract will give him the opportunity to end his career on the field instead of on the injured list. He is 9th on the all-time hit list and will look to add to his many accolades.

NBA: Kings Sign Demarcus Cousins To 4 Year Extension Worth $62 Million!!

According to reports, the Sacramento Kings have decided to invest in the future of their best young player. DeMarcus Cousins, the sometimes troubled, but extremely talented young big man, was given a 4 year contract extension worth just over $60 million dollars. With the trade during the off season that sent Tyreke Evans to the Pelicans, it became clear who the Kings wanted to build around. He has always flashed a brilliant and athletic type of game, especially for a big man, but his run-ins with coaches and teammates at times have taken away from his talent on the court. Lately however, Cousins seems to be maturing. His coach mentioned how Cousins works out on his own time and organizes things for his teammates so they can all get together. With the addition of Shaq as a minority owner in the team, everyone is expecting him to mentor the young star so he can leave the nonsense alone and develop into the all-star that he can be.

NBA: Report, Marcus Camby Signs 1 Year Deal with Rockets

Marcus Camby is once again back in the NBA, and this time I have to say I am surprised. After barely playing last year for the Knicks, and then being traded to the Toronto Raptors at the end of June, I thought it was over for him. In my opinion he is pretty washed up, and his body has shown to be very frail over the past few years. The Rockets however, think different and offered him a 1 year contract for the minimum of $1.4 million. With Dwight Howard now there, and Omar Asik backing him up, I doubt Camby will see much playing time, so making $1.4 million to just chill doesn’t sound bad at all. At least he will be part of another competitive team. He was also considering the Bulls & Heat. If he went to Miami, he might of gotten more playing time, but then again, that team seems all set as well. Won’t be surprised if after the season he finally retires.

NFL:(Video)Damn!! Matt Ryan Signs Huge Contract Extension

Even though Matt Ryan has not been able to get the Falcons to the Super Bowl yet, he is sure being paid like he did. He agreed to a 5 year contract extension, worth $103 million dollars, with $59 million of that guaranteed! Teams have been throwing money at quarterbacks the past few seasons. Seems anytime a star quarterback gets a new deal, the next one gets an even better contract. Ryan is definitely deserving, coming off the best season of his career. The Falcons will once again be a favorite to win the NFC with Ryan as their leader. Hit the jump to see more details.
