NBA: Raymond Felton Upset ESPN’s Rankings Put Nets Above Knicks
ESPN released it annual NBA rankings and of course it ruffled some feathers. The rivalry between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets is brewing and making for a great storyline. The Knicks tweaked their roster by adding Metta World Peace and Andrea Bargnani but the real talk of the offseason was the Nets trading for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry. So naturally ESPN ranked the Nets higher and Knicks guard Raymond Felton wasn’t happy about that. Read more after the jump.
NBA: Trash Talk!!..Raymond Felton Says Knicks Are The Real New York Team
I have to agree with Felton on this one. Since the Brooklyn Nets made the big move this summer of trading for Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry, the talk about New York basketball has reached new heights. If your a fan of either team you have many reasons to be excited for next season. Paul Pierce has made it even better with his trash talking about the Knicks in the media. NBA: Ouch!! Portland Fans Still Mad At Raymond Felton
Blazers fans clearly have not forgotten when Raymond Felton reported to the team overweight and out of shape last season when he was a member of the team. Last night was his first game back in Portland as a member of the Knicks, and fans made sure they were heard, and seen. He was booed every time he touched the ball, but the killer and I must admit funniest part was when he was shooting free throws and the crowd was holding up signs with cookies, hamburgers and other types of food. For his credit, Felton took responsibility for coming in overweight and not performing well, but obviously Portland has not put that behind them. Read more after the jump.
