NBA Report: Kevin Durant Would Consider Knicks in Free Agency If They Hire This Coach

As I explained before, the closer we get to Kevin Durant’s free agency, the more reports will surface about his possible destination.  We’ve had reports about the Lakers and Warriors; the next team up is the New York Knicks.

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced they fired head coach Scott Brooks on Wednesday.  Many wondered if the star players Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were consulted about the firing especially since Durant will become a free agent in 2016.  Durant posted on Instagram and said he was 100% behind the Thunder’s decision.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have officially fired head coach Scott Brooks.  Many suspected it was coming as Brooks did not seem like the coach that could get the Thunder over the hump.

Personally I’ve been saying for a while now that the Oklahoma City Thunder should move on from coach Scott Brooks and now it appears the team reportedly feels the same way.  If they do decide to part ways with Brooks who will be his replacement?  A major factor in the decision will be pleasing Kevin Durant who will become a free agent in 2016, and for that reason, UConn coach Kevin Ollie is reportedly being considered for the job.

It was an emotional, physical and nasty game between the Rockets and Thunder. It was so bad, the winning team shot 28.8 percent from the field.  At one point Patrick Beverley got into it with the referee Bill Kennedy, at which point Thunder coach Scott Brooks raced out and joined in on the altercation.
