Tech Talk News: ‘Jaw Dropping’ Gamma Rays Found Emitting From Crab Nebula

An international team of scientists from the VERITAS collaboration detected pulsed gamma-ray emissions from the Crab nebula at far higher energies than expected. The highly energized gamma rays are coming from an extreme object at the Crab Nebula’s center known as a pulsar This particular pulsar lives at the center of the Crab Nebula… the remnants of a stellar explosion, or supernova, that was recorded by Native American and Chinese astronomers in 1054. Tech Talk Space: UARS Satellite Falling Down To Earth!!

A UARS Satellite is currently falling down to Earth and is expected to make impact around Septmeber 23rd. NASA has said that there’s no way to pinpoint an exact day, yet and will know where the satellite will hit only two hours before it does.
