NBA Rumor: Orlando Magic Holding Off on Coaching Search While Waiting For Tom Thibodeau

Though the Chicago Bulls have been somewhat success despite the numerous losses of Derrick Rose, it is expected that Tom Thibodeau will be out as head coach if the Bulls are short of making it to the NBA Finals.  He surely won’t have trouble finding another job and the Orlando Magic are already reportedly waiting to see what happens with him.


NBA: People Close to Tom Thibodeau Expect Him To Be Fired By The End Of This Season

Amid a rough season where the Chicago Bulls seemed to lose a cog in their rotation every other week, they found a way to make the playoffs as the 2nd seed. Yet, according to people close to Tom Thibodeau, he expects to be fired at the end of the season. Being a coach in the NBA seems to be a tough job considering Scott Brooks was also fired after a string of long playoff runs.

The Chicago Bulls are reportedly the main contenders to land Carmelo Anthony if he decides to leave the New York Knicks.  He would be teaming up with former MVP Derrick Rose, Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah and a great coach in Tom Thibodeau whom he admires.  With the clock winding down, Thibodeau decided to aid in the process.

There’s reportedly a rocky relationship between Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls front office.  That along with him being one of the best coaches in the league has several teams knocking on his door but there’s reportedly only one that could get him to bolt.

As I said before Knicks coach Mike Woodson will likely be fired soon which means a bunch of possible replacements are being speculated and reported.  While I mentioned Warriors coach Mark Jackson yesterday, today Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is thrown into the mix.


NBA: Bulls’ Coach Tom Thibodeau Says Derrick Rose is Finally Ready

Ummm too little too late, the Bulls season is over.  In Derrick Rose’s defense I don’t think him coming back would’ve propelled them past the Miami Heat, it would take time for him and the team to adjust.  It is good to see he’s back to his old self, leaving us anxious for next season.  Read more after the jump.
