Caitlyn Jenner’s Mom Still Has To Call Her Bruce + How Did Rob Kardashian React To The Completion Of Transformation
Boy-oh-Boy, or Girl-oh-Girl … While viewers were just introduced to Caitlyn Jenner yesterday, Bruce’s mother had met the lady a month prior. During an interview with Access Hollywood a few weeks ago, Esther Jenner says, “I was there last week, well actually, I got home a week and a half ago. And I met Caitlyn. She is… so much more at ease.” Although they have known each other for some weeks now, Esther still has trouble calling her son daughter, or Bruce Caitlyn. “I still have to call him Bruce. His father and I named him that. It’s going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change, but happily so…I’m very happy for him—or her.” I surely is going to take some time. I mean, for 60+ years, she has known her son as Bruce, it’s not an easy step. Meanwhile, Rob Kardashian, although at first was like ‘who is this woman’, it has been somewhat of an easier process for him to deal with.

Coming out as transgender is always difficult, whether you’re a celebrity or not. However for Bruce Jenner, being that he is SO famous and constantly in the spotlight, it is making his process 100x more difficult. Luckily for Bruce, he has a fellow transgender celebrity friend who has been helping him with the process. Orange Is The New Black‘s own Laverne Cox reveals that Bruce has been confiding in her and seeking advice on the whole process. Bruce reached out to Cox prior to his big interview with Diane Sawyer just to talk about what he’s going through. Cox says, “I had spoken to Bruce several months back. The same person who I spoke to on the phone, who really just loves their children so much and wants their family to be happy was the person I saw on television last night.” She then went on to say, “I told Bruce, ‘This is like another gold medal.’ He said, ‘This is better than a gold medal.’”
