Tonight, at a special event at The Box in NYC, Jay-Z announced Jay Electronica as the newest member of his Roc Nation label!! In response to Jay Z’s announcement, Jay Electronica asked for “permission to speak”…after being given the “go!” from Jay Z, he began dropping lyrics. Allhiphop’s @chuckcreekmur tweeted Jay E said “We not illuminati, but our mind’s on the money.” Also in attendance was Beyonce, and tonight’s birthday boy, Omarion.
