Yeezy took to Twitter earlier today to discuss his new single with Jay-Z, H.A.M. But he just HAD to tweet Britney in the mix of things. He said:
“H*A*M #2 on ITunes… THANK YOU!!!”
“@britneyspears: Yo britney, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you be #1, but me and jay-z single is one of the best songs of all time.”

Kanye later amended his Britney tweet to add “LOL” to the end of it. In response, Britney’s manager, Adam Leber, tweeted this:
“@kanyewest Thanks for “letting” us be #1. Much appreciated….”
Then, Leber too added the LOLs! Later, Kanye deleted his original Britney Tweet and sent out this mea culpa:
“I thought LOL signified a joke… I didn’t get the 2011 LOL doesn’t signify a joke anymore memo… LOL or something else I guess”
On a serious note I’m truly happy for @AvrilLavigne and @BritneySpears… No hate in 2011!
