A magnitude-5.7 earthquake has shaken Mexico’s Gulf coast. There are no immediate reports of damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake at 8:07 a.m. EST, was centered near the town of Acayucan in Veracruz state and about 292 miles east-southeast of Mexico City. It was relatively deep, about 83 miles below the surface.
