Mara was first seen on the big screen in 2005 in the horror flick remake, “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and just last year as the girl who broke Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s heart, inspiring a digital revolution in “The Social Network.” Her big moment, however came with the role she has yet to play – Lisbeth Salander — in the much talked about Millennium Trilogy adapted from the book series by Stieg Larsson. Snagging the role as the “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is sure to put Mara on the map, considering some of Hollywood’s top actresses including Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Stewart had expressed interest in the coveted role.
