Casio America, Inc. is proud to announce pro bmx rider Nigel Sylvester’s commitment to join the Casio family as an official G-Shock team rider for their flagship line of shock resistant and stylish G-Shock watches. The world class bmx rider, globally recognized for his unique street style riding style, high bunny-hop skills and swift barspins, captures the heart and soul of G-Shock.

“Casio G-Shock is pleased to sponsor Nigel Sylvester,” said Shigenori Itoh, CEO of Casio. “New York City has a particular way of crafting bmx riders and Nigel is a prime example. His love for riding, commitment to the sport and innate style makes him a kindred spirit to G-Shock. We wish him continued success in the upcoming year and look forward to supporting his growth as an athlete.”

Sylvester, a BMX icon and one of the most dominant athletes in the sport, has continued to captivate audiences with his impressive array of tricks and innovative street riding. With a highly successful series of YouTube videos, which have collectively amassed over 10 million views and partnerships with several global brands, Sylvester is one of the most visible links between the action sports world and the mainstream consumer market, as well as one of action sports most positive role models.

“When I’m out riding my bike I need a timepiece that compliments me” says Nigel Sylvester. “G-Shock watches perform well under the extreme conditions in which I ride and look good when I’m just chilling off my bike as well.”
