Juror #11 said there was a grey area regarding George Anthony’s testimony and he was “in the mix” because of his whereabouts when Caylee went missing. He also said that talk of Casey’s motive was small because the prosecution’s theory on the reasons behind why Casey would want to kill her daughter was weak.
As for Casey’s behavior after Caylee’s disappearance, the jury foreman said “it disgusted us,” and because of that they wished there was a felony charge Casey could have been held accountable for – alluding to the basis of a proposed law circulating in Florida that would require a parent or guardian to report a child missing within 48 hours. Though Casey’s bizarre behavior was inexplicable, the juror said they were asked to convict based on cause of death, and much of the evidence and testimony in the trial referenced what happened after Caylee’s death.
Finally, the jury foreman said he thought Lee Anthony was very genuine and he handled himself very well in the courtroom despite the difficult circumstances.
