Last night there were rumors of Randy Moss visiting with the Saints, but then as I did the research NFL is disputing that Randy Moss was there and that the Saints are interested.  hmmmmmm…Check what both sources had to say…

With Marques Colston out after breaking his collarbone in the New Orleans Saints’ opener Thursday against the Green Bay Packers and Lance Moore out with a groin injury, the New Orleans Saints could use a little help at wide receiver.

And, when a team needs a little help at wide receiver, the name of Randy Moss is going to surface. It has. Moss, according to New Orleans TV station WWL, visited the Saints facility Saturday.

Moss, whose agent announced his retirement Aug. 1, played 13 seasons in the NFL. His 153 touchdowns are second only to Hall-of-Fame receiver Jerry Rice.

Colston is expected to be out four weeks; whether Moss, at 34, is the answer is another matter. After all, it didn’t work out for him in New England or Minnesota or Tennessee last season.

FROM NFL.com:

League sources have told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora and Michael Lombardi that a published report claiming retired wide receiver Randy Moss was at the New Orleans Saints team facility Saturday is not true.

New Orleans television station WWLTV previously reported Saturday the Saints had interest in Moss and the receiver was at the team’s facility Saturday, citing several sources.

The league sources told La Canfora and Lombardi that the Saints have no current plans to sign Moss.

The Saints could be in the market for a wide receiver after losing Marques Colston to a broken collar bone in the season-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Moss, 34, announced his retirement in August after 13 NFL seasons. He finished with 153 touchdowns, which is tied with Terrell Owens for second on the career list, and is also fifth in yards (14,858) and tied with Hines Ward for eighth in receptions (954).

He played in 16 games for three teams — the Patriots, Vikings and Titans — last season, finishing with 28 receptions for 393 yards and five touchdowns.
