The State Department offered the reward Tuesday for information leading to Du’a, saying he has called the shots on dozens of terrorist attacks this year that killed more than 95 people.

His group is blamed for a May attack in Hilla that killed 24 policemen and wounded 72 others, a wave of suicide bombings in Mosul Aug. 15 that killed more than 70 people and an Aug. 28 attack on a Baghdad mosque that killed a prominent Sunni legislator.

The State Department says it has paid out over $100 million to 60 terror tipsters, but does not provide details on individual payouts.

The agency reportedly paid the full $30 million reward to an informant who led the U.S. military to Saddam Hussein’s sons Uday and Qusay in 2003.

The bounty offered for 1993 World Trade Center bombing mastermind Ramzi Yousef – which totaled $2 million – was also reportedly paid.

Unclaimed is the bounty for information on Osama Bin Laden, which rounded out to $50 million: an initial $25 million from the State Department, $2 million offered by the Air Transport Association and another $23 million appropriated by Congress.

The Bin Laden bounty will never be paid out, officials say, because electronic intelligence – not a tip – led them to the Al Qaeda leader’s compound in Pakistan last May.

The largest standing reward of $25 million is for new Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri.

Another $10 million is out there for tips on fugitive Taliban leader Mullah Omar. An additional 38 terrorists carry rewards ranging from $500,000 to $5 million.
