One ad features the 50 pounds of sugar that would be consumed in a year by someone who drank 20 ounces of the fizzy stuff a day.

A second ad will map the three-mile course from Union Square to Brooklyn that someone would have to walk to burn off a single soda.

“Sugary drinks are the largest single source of added sugar in the diet, and a child’s risk of obesity increases with every additional daily serving of a sugary drink,” said Health Commissioner Thomas Farley.

The ads are part of the department’s “pouring on the pounds” campaign, which has included stomach-churning images of soda transforming into fat as it hits the glass.
