This teacher was not trying to use one of her sick days, at all! A Denver gym teacher left a bogus bomb threat at her elementary school so she wouldn’t have to go to work. Hit the jump to read the rest of the story.

Jennifer Gomes, 42, admitted she left a note stating, “There is a bomb inside,” at Escuela de Guadalupe, a private, bilingual Catholic school, on Oct. 17, police said.

The note led to the school being evacuated and searched by authorities.

Gomes – who worked only one day a week – was busted two days later and is set to appear in court Nov. 3.

She faces possible jail time for a false reporting of explosives, according to ABC 7 News in Denver.

It isn’t Gomes’ first brush with the law.

She pleaded guilty in 2009 to two counts of misdemeanor child abuse involving negligence without injury while working as a day care provider, ABC 7 reported.

She also was cited in 2010 for driving without wearing a seat belt as well has having an unrestrained child passenger.
