Well, I guess the Mythbusters got their answer on this one! While testing out a few “myths” in their usual California testing grounds yesterday, the last of three test cannonballs completely missed the targeted area. Instead, it flew through a concrete wall and went into the neighboring town, going through multiple homes and landing on a minivan! Sheesh! At least no one was hurt! Sgt. JD Nelson from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department tells ABC, hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage were trying to figure out how effective a cannon is at firing non-cannonball objects … but first, they had to test the cannonball itself.
The cannonball was supposed to land harmlessly in a nearby hill — but something went wrong … and the ball, traveling at about 1000 ft/s, went over the hill bordering Camp Parks Military Firing Reservation, and into the neighboring town of Dublin, crashing through two separate houses before finally coming to rest … inside someone’s minivan.
The Discovery Channel show has been put on hold after the mishap, pending a full investigation. Luckily, no one was injured.
Screw the mythbusters! These guys r tools! And gov.pawns! I totally lost respect 4 these guys when I seen their shows that dealt with the JFK(RIP)assassination and the moon landings.they purposely left out key arguments in both shows,they didn’t address some of the most important theories of doubters.once I seen that I was like awww these mofo’s full of shhhh! They REFUSE to put blame or cast doubt on the government for anything!
