Another week, another Bergen County, New Jersey teacher accused of sleeping with a student. Lyndhurst High School football coach and phys. ed. teacher Scott Rubinetti was arrested yesterday and charged with sexual assault, child endangerment and witness tampering. Police say that between 2009 and 2010 he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a senior girl in his charge. Rubinetti, 39, was reported by another school teacher who heard about the alleged relationship and things moved quickly from there. “The alleged victim in this investigation was located and confirmed inappropriate sexual conduct occurred between her and Rubinetti and the sexual abuse happened between 2009 and 2010, when the student was a senior at Lyndhurst High School,” Prosecutor John L. Molinelli and Lyndhurst Police Chief James O’Connor said Wednesday in a joint release.
