It appears that former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck will be the top pick in April’s NFL Draft and will be in line to replace Peyton Manning in Indianapolis.

Like his counterpart Robert Griffin III, who signed with adidas earlier this year, the two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up signed an endorsement deal to become another pitchman for Nike.

The company released its first commercial staring Luck and while it lacks some of the pizzazz – it simply shows him working out with a voice over by him – it is a perfect introduction to fans.

“You can’t decide if you get picked first or second or which cities fans will wear your jersey. You don’t know if you will be surrounded by veterans or throwing to other rookies. You can’t tell if teams see a gamble or their future franchise quarterback. You don’t have a crystal ball. So people will tell you that all you can do is wait but you know better and you ignore them and do what you’ve always done, you make your luck.”

No details were released on the deal and whether or not Luck will have his own line of shoes and apparel.
