Before Android released its first device, Google showed off a device that looked very similar to RIM’s Blackberry at the time.  The Device shown after the break was known as the Google Sooner  an OMAP850 device built by HTC. Which was built with no touchscreen or wifi which Google is known for.
Sergey Brin and Steve Horowitz discuss the availability of the SDK, that it will be open source in the future, and demo applications on the Android platform.
