Police arrested a 54-year-old man in southeast Fresno for carrying a shotgun disguised as a Super Soaker water gun. Where was he going with this gun? What was his purpose?

WiL Major

Two officers were patrolling an area near Barton and Nevada avenues when they saw a man carrying what appeared to be a Super Soaker water gun on a rifle sling around his neck, said Sgt. Rick de Jong. When the officers approached the man, they found the toy had been turned into a home-made shotgun built into the plastic shell of the water gun, de Jong said. The weapon, commonly called a “zip gun,” was loaded, he said. The man was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and manufacture of an illegal weapon.
