The next move of undefeated, five-division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still very much unknown. Having been released from the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on August 3rd, Mayweather has been mum about any potential ring returns as he stays away from the public’s eye.

A recent swing through the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas led me to cross paths with Mayweather’s Uncle and trainer Roger, who feels that is nephew will soon get the urge to step back into the squared circle yet again.

“Oh yeah, why wouldn’t he?” Roger would ask during our conversation on Monday afternoon. “He’ll fight a few more times. He aint took no beatings.”

There is no bigger fight in the sport than a Mayweather duel with Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao, who is presently eyeing a fourth meeting with Juan Manuel Marquez on December 8th. Once again, Roger echoed his sentiments on who he prefers for Floyd.

“The fight with Floyd is Pacquiao,” said Roger. “That’s the fight. He fights Timothy Bradley, he fights Pacquiao. He’ll make so much money. He’ll make close to $200 million.”

Bradley defeated Pacquiao on June 9th via a highly-controversial split-decision that he seemed fortunate to come away with. Roger admittedly hasn’t seen too much of the Palm Springs, California native but it’s easy to guess his prediction if he ever sets foot in the ring with Floyd.

“Bradley’s a decent fighter, but he aint got sh*t for my nephew,” Roger said.

If a scenario were to happen where Mayweather does find himself meeting Pacquiao and Bradley in successive contests, Roger admits that it could be the end of the road for Floyd.

“He can, yeah,” Roger said when asked if he could see Floyd walking away after those two matches. “A motherf***er gets close to $200 million and he can’t walk away, something’s wrong with him. Motherf***ers don’t even make that kind of money and they still walk away from the sport. If you make that kind of money, what else do you need to do?”
