The accused pimp ran brothels out of a Financial District commercial building and apartments in Hell’s Kitchen and midtown that attracted businessmen, lawyers and regular joes seeking amorous sessions for up to $260 an hour, officials said.
Neighbors of one of the sex dens — an E. 50th St. third-floor flat featuring “multiple beds” and a harem of hookers — said Thomas was running a brisk business.
“I see random guys walking in all the time,” said Rory Rodbell, 25, who lives in the building and applauded the the bust.
Rodbell’s biggest complaint? The hookers hogged the laundry room.
“They were always washing sheets. There were two or three,” said Rodbell. “I was always pissed off because I was trying to do my laundry.”
Another resident of the building, who would only identify herself as Renée, described the johns as businessmen in suits and regular working-class guys. She recalled opening the front door to let johns in as early at 10 a.m.
Prosecutors said cops brought down sex ring earlier this month in an undercover sting.
