Another artist will be taking their talents to the small screen, but this won’t be the typical reality show situation. In fact, it’s taking more of an “Everybody Hates Chris” approach, creating a funny sitcom based on this person’s life. I’ll give you one clue as to who it is: he’s a really G.O.O.D. singer! Ha! Details on the show below.

Marisa Mendez

It’s singer John Legend! He’ll be producing a sitcom on Fox, loosely based on his life and written by Sons Of Tucson‘s co-creators Tommy Dewey & Greg Bratman. Via Deadline:

The single-camera comedy is based loosely on Legend’s upbringing. It is about a guy in his early 20s who becomes the guardian to his own siblings while having to manage his burgeoning career and social life. Get Lifted [John’s company] principals Legend, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorious will executive produce with Katherine Pope and Peter Chernin. Dewey and Bratman will co-executive produce.

I think I’m actually looking forward to this! Will you be tuning in?
