Shakira is gearing up to welcome a new baby into the world with soccer player boyfriend Gerard Piqué, but it’s not all happy news in her world. Her ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rúa (whom she dated for almost a decade) is suing her for a whopping $100 MILLION, claiming breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. The thing is, he wasn’t just her man…she allowed him to manage her business affairs as well. And even when they split at the end of 2010, he continued to manage them all the way up until October of 2011. More info below.
After reviewing the suit filed on November 20th, E! reports that De la Rúa’s suit seeks compensation valued at no less than 10 percent of the annual net profits of their partnership, plus an increased percentage based upon the success of the business. I wonder how the courts will handle this one!
