This didn’t take long. Yesterday Gametime girl did a post about ESPN analyst Rob Parker bringing up the race of Redskins quaterback RG3 and questioning how “black” he is. Seems ESPN did not like that idea being brought up on air. Read more after the jump.

To see the post from yesterday, click here. Now in a small defense of Mr. Parker, from the tone of his comments it seemed more like he was asking a question about public opinion on Griffin, and not his own beliefs, but either way it was not a good idea to bring it up. You can even hear it in his voice while watching the video clip from yesterday that he was second guessing himself while he was talking about it, like not sure if he should of ever mentioned it. Either way the topic was ridiculous because regardless of his opinion or anyone else RG3 is who he is and does not have to explain how black he is to anyone. Parker has been suspended until further notice according to ESPN. Now what is hypocritical about this is yesterday after the show “first take” aired on espn2, later in the day ESPN replayed the “best of” first take and did NOT remove Parker’s comments from the show, which makes it appear the producers and ESPN did not have an issue with what Parker said. So it is a little odd and sketchy that today they decided to suspend him.

That’s some BS. They didn’t suspend Steven A for dropping the N-word twice. They didn’t suspend Mike Greenberg for saying “Martin Luther Coon” on MLK day. First Take courts this type of barbershop talk and they suspend Rob Parker for that?! Rob Parker says some stupid stuff but ESPN wants ppl to be controversial and push the envelope.
Thats because Stephen a didn’t say nigga get your ears checked rob shouldn’t have a job
Yes, he did say it. I saw the clip and heard him say it. You cannot deny fact, and if he didn’t say it, why did the edit the clip? I see you didn’t touch on when Greenberg allegedly said coon either. The clips are available on YouTube, by the way. Read Jason Whitlock’s article on it. All I’m saying is lots of ppl have crossed the line at Espn. I think an apology should’ve been enough.
I saw the clips on Stephen a Smith atleast 10 times each he didn’t say it lol sounded like he stuttered to me as far as greeny I never saw it because I wasn’t watching them at that time reason I didn’t touch on it
Why comment on something I didn’t even know happened as far as whitlock I don’t read the garbage he writes he’s a joke like the rest and rob got what he deserved bullshit always comes out of his mouth. Something’s should be left in the barbershop
Who the fuck use the term cornball brother
Steven A def said Lebron was a nigga. I saw his face look surprised when he said it and quickly changed the topic and started talking. His was much more subtle because I think he kinda caught himself that’s why it’s somewhat pitchy but what Rob said had to be addressed because there’s clearly no denying that.
Rob should of left that talk in the barbershop PERIOD! THE TOPIC WAS STUPID ANYWAY. I blame the producer’s too. It’s like they have topics to bait somebody in saying some off the wall shit.
