Well, the so-called movie of the year seems to be stirring up a lot of controversy already! If you haven’t seen the movie, I personally think it was great. Although, a few other stars will be banning the movie. Spike Lee already declared he won’t be seeing the movie (Even though he’s used the word in his own movies, but in your opinion, is it okay for him to say it?) but he also explains that it’s disrespectful to his ancestors. Then trouble maker, Katt Williams, already offered to give Quentin Tarantino the fade, claiming that Tarantino thinks he’s black (LOL! Hey, I like his Wu-Tang shirts) But Williams doesn’t think it’s right, regardless of if Jamie Foxx or Samuel L. Jackson has his back. But how many total times did they actually use the word in the movie?! See the interesting fun fact after the jump.
It was used a total of 110 times. Did it seem like it was that much when you saw the movie?! (If you didn’t see it yet, don’t go counting it during the movie – SMH! Lol!)
Saw it last nite. It was GREAT! And it does not come off as odd or a stretch to use the n-word multiple times in a movie that took place during SLAVERY…it was not gratuious. The movie keeps you on the edge of the seat and makes you think at the same time. Great performances all around…amazing storyline and writing.
😉 love the movie, I think Jamie fox deserve an award for this movie as well he did what he had to do to get his wife back.. what man wouldn’t? this movie is worthwhile Seeing.
Saw the movie and thought it was gratuitous and very disrespectful. Tarantino made blacks look like animals.I almost walked out. I also find it odd that no black actors were nominated for this film.
