Succeeding John Kerry, William “Mo” Cowan will be the newest member in the U.S. Senate. Although he’s only serving temporarily until special elections for Kerry’s official replacement in June, Cowan is still the Senates historic 2nd black member, Tim Scott was the first. Cowan was appointed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. Before being the chosen one, Cowan worked as a lawyer and was a former aide to the Governor. Hopefully he get’s elected and is able to stay. Make it count bruh!
