Violin from Titanic
It’s crazy how year have passed and yet we are still finding artifacts from the Titanic. In the movie about the ship’s fatal sinking, there was a man who continued to play the violin even though there was nothing but chaos around him. Wallace Hartley found it soothing to play his instrument until the very end to bring comfort to others. It was believed that Hartley’s violin was lost after the ship sank but it turns out that the violin was found in one piece. Read more below.

Wallace Hartley’s body was found with the violin in a leather bag that was strapped onto him, according to documents. Eventually Hartley’s violin was found, sold to a Salvation Army, given to a violin teacher, before going on to be authenticated. The infamous fiddle, which is estimated to be worth half a million dollars was discovered in an attic and now will be display at Belfast City Hall.
