Dwight Howard isn’t the only center who’s team is trying to re-sign him.  Although Andrew Bynum has sat out the entire season with knee injuries and collected $17 million from the 76ers for doing nothing, that doesn’t mean they don’t seriously want him back.  The reality is, there’s a shortage of good big men in the NBA and Bynum is still regarded as one of the best centers available.  So when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season there are a few offers that will come his way, however he still hasn’t ruled out rejoining the Sixers.  Read more after the jump.

Of course, there was always a chance Andrew Bynum would return to Philly, but those odds officially ticked up on Wednesday. The agent for [Bynum] says that the player has not ruled out signing a contract with the 76ers. “I don’t see why not,” Bynum’s agent, David Lee, said Wednesday morning when asked whether Bynum would sign an extension with the 76ers. “I still feel like the ball is in their court.”

Bynum will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Bynum had arthroscopic surgery on both knees last month to remove debris. … “Philadelphia has been terrific to us, from [majority owner] Josh Harris to [CEO/co-owner] Adam Aron to [general manager] Tony DiLeo,” Lee said.
