On Friday, USC’s class of 2013 got a surprise speech by Dr. Dre. Interscope Records honcho, Jimmy Iovine, was slated to speak at the commencement ceremony and then called Dr. Dre to take the stage. Iovine and Dre recently donated $70 million to start The Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation at the university that will specialize in students who plan on majoring in arts, computer science, visual design, marketing, and more.
