Steve Nash and his ex wife Alejandra have been locked in a legal battle for a while now. She is accusing him of blocking her from moving to L.A. from Phoenix with their three children. Now you might wonder why would he want to block her from bringing his kids closer to him. Well if you ask her it is all about money, and she might have a point. Now part of the reason Nash himself chose to sign with the Lakers was so he wouldn’t be that far from his kids in Phoenix. If you remember the Knicks were also a possibility, but he chose the west coast instead. His ex is saying Nash told her he doesn’t want them to move to L.A. because he might be traded or forced to retire, and then the family would have to move again. But Alejandra is saying the REAL reason is much more selfish, it’s money. According to her the real reason he wants her to stay put in PHX is because California courts are likely to impose huge child support obligations against him — something the Phoenix courts have not done. She claims even though Nash is a multi-millionaire, he does not pay a dime in child support! I hope that is not true because that would be a real low-life move by him. For now a judge issued a restraining order preventing her from moving until the courts settle this.
