This is due to a major deficit that the school board is trying to take care of which at this point is looking like 1 Billion SMH. The school board is not happy about laying of the teachers but they don’t see any other option and they do not want class room funding to be cut. Most of the teachers will be laid off in the 55 schools that are closing this year in the shy. I don’t see any good coming out of this.
