This Sunday will be the fullest moon of 2013.
Yup…Today the moon will be bigger than you’ve ever saw it this year! But what else is there to this “supermoon”?

Brandon

Sunday, June 23rd, the moon will be closest to Earth than it has been all year at a distance of 221,824 miles. The moon will look 12.2 percent larger than it will when it’s at the furthest point from Earth on January 16, 2014. With the fullest moon of the year will bring ranges of high and low tides, provoking flooding if there are any coastal storms. There will 42 percent more tidal force during this full moon than on January 16. Hopefully, flooding doesn’t damage any property.

I’m definitely checking out the show on “Supermoon Sunday”. After all, the show is free! You can also watch the full moon on a webcast at SPACE.com
