The free agent class for 2013 is quite a group of names but two of the biggest were in LA.  Where Dwight Howard will end up is still up in the air but once Doc Rivers became the head coach of the Clippers it was practically a lock that Chris Paul would stay.  Read more after the jump.

Chris Paul’s representatives have told teams not to even bother pursuing the point guard when free agency begins at 12:01 a.m. ET Monday because he will re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to league sources.

Doc Rivers becoming the Clippers’ new head coach and senior vice president of basketball operations earlier this week assured that Paul will remain in Los Angeles, according to sources.

The chances of Paul leaving the Clippers were slim even before Rivers was named coach, but sources said he had at least entertained the thought of going to the Atlanta Hawks with Dwight Howard, who also will enter free agency.
