The mother-son duo from Romania are currently going under investigation for the theft and burning of paintings in the Romania’s National History Museum. These paintings are not only historic but worth millions of dollars. Why would she burn them and not just sell them instead? Well the mom decided to look out for her son and cover up his tracks by digging up the paintings and burning them to eliminate any trace back to her son. Romania’s National History Museum has been working with police and are going through the ashes of the paintings. This has been considered one of the biggest art thefts in the Netherlands. Now who wouldn’t want a mom like that?
