Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes’ mother did not secure the conservatorship over her troubled daughter as she’d hoped to on Friday, and Amanda is seeing this as the best thing possible. A former best friend of Amanda (hmm…makes me weary at the “former” part…) is telling media that she “deeply resents her ‘overprotective’ parents for ‘telling her what to do and pushing her into acting, a career she never wanted.'”

“Amanda said the only movie she herself liked that she was in was Hairspray,” her former best friend Ana said. “She didn’t get any enjoyment out of acting.”

Apparently her parents didn’t really support her move from LA to NYC to leave acting for fashion in 2010, and the tension escalated from there.

Despite her mom not securing the conservatorship, the judge has extended her psych hold, so this gives her parents more time as well to keep trying. At this point, Amanda is a danger to herself, so any help is better than none. What do you think?
