Police have dubbed the crime of the roommates as “one of the major domestic terrorism threats in the United States today”, after arresting the two suspects accused of plotting to kidnap and kill law enforcement within Nevada.

Roommates, convicted child sex offender, David Allen Brutsche , 42, and Devon Campbell Newman, 67, were placed under arrest after police officials bursted into their apartment after a month long sting. Officials were tipped that the roommates were involved in an “anti -authority “sovereign citizen” movement that authorities say might lead to other arrests”.

Lt. Jim Seebock, stated that they had come to the eyes of officials after seeing that Brutsche had been convicted of numerous previous crimes.

“When contacted by law enforcement, he espoused beliefs and ideology of the sovereign citizen movement, that he was not subject to the laws of Clark County or the United States,” Seebock told reporters”.

Seebock also stated the “two alleged extremists”: “were actively plotting to kidnap and kill at least one Southern Nevada police officer” and authorities believed they had plans to continue the random attacks, without singling out a particular officer or police agency”.

Their plotting involves finding a vacant house and “rigging it to bind captives to cross beams during interrogations”. They also video recorded their reasoning on why they were enacting these plots and why law enforcement had to die.

During their arraignment the duo felt as though they were above the accusations by stating in their defense that “they didn’t recognize his authority to keep them in jail”.

Brutsche stated during the trial:

“I object to the entire proceedings of this court. For the record,”

“I’ve hurt no one. I wish to be released on bail,” Newman stated.

How did the judge reply to the demands? By simply responding:

“So noted,” “Denied.”

“Federal authorities regard “sovereign citizen” extremists as domestic terrorists. Authorities have linked “sovereign citizen” groups with violent confrontations and police shootings in Louisiana and Arkansas”.

I’m assuming these guys had some serious beef with law enforcement that they decided to take it this far!
